WASHINGTON--After wrapping up a stint as interim Democratic National Committee chair, Donna Brazile hits Springfield on Friday to address the Illinois Democratic Women's convention.
Brazile stepped in as interim DNC chair after Tim Kaine stepped down to run for a Senate seat from Virginia. On Wednesday, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Scultz (D-Fl.) officially took over as DNC chair; she was feted at a reception on Thursday night here attended by White House chief of staff Bill Daley, Brazile and White House Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett. Jarrett introduced Wasserman Schultz.
