DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
MONDAY, MARCH 21, 2011

In the morning, the First Family will depart Rio de Janeiro, Brazil en route Santiago, Chile. The departure from Galeao Air Force Base and the arrival at Santiago International Airport are open press.

In the afternoon, the President and the First Lady will participate in an arrival ceremony at La Moneda Palace. There will be travel pool coverage. Later, the President and President Sebastian Piñera of Chile will hold a bilateral meeting. The President and President Piñera will then hold an expanded bilateral meeting. These meetings are closed press.

Later, the President and President Piñera will hold a joint press conference at La Moneda Palace. The joint press conference is pooled for TV and open to pre-credentialed correspondents.

Later in the afternoon, the President will deliver remarks at Centro Cultural Palazio La Moneda. The President's remarks are open press.

Later, the President and the First Lady will attend a U.S. Embassy meet and greet at the Sheraton Cristobal Hotel. This is closed press.

In the evening, the President and the First Lady will attend an official dinner hosted by President Piñera at La Moneda Palace. There will be travel pool coverage of the cocktail reception toasts and the cultural performance. The dinner is closed press.
