In the morning, the President will welcome Prime Minister Julia Gillard of Australia to the White House. The President and Prime Minister Gillard will discuss the strong ties between the United States and Australia, our shared political and economic interests in the Asia-Pacific region, and our work together around the world, including in Afghanistan and as members of APEC and the G20. The President will hold a bilateral meeting and an expanded bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Gillard in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.
Afterwards, the President and Prime Minister Gillard will deliver statements to the press in the Oval Office. This meeting is pooled press.
In the afternoon, the President will meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.
