DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
FRIDAY, JANUARY 21, 2011


In the morning, the President will host a reception for mayors in the East Room. This reception is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President will travel to Albany, New York. The departure from the South Lawn and the arrival at Albany International Airport are open press. The President will then visit the birthplace of General Electric in Schenectady, New York. The President will tour the site with GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt and will deliver remarks on the importance of growing the economy and making America more competitive by investing in jobs, innovation and clean energy. There will be travel pool coverage of the tour and the President's remarks will be open press.

In the afternoon, the President will return to Washington, DC. The departure from Albany, New York and the arrival on the South Lawn are open press.

In the evening, the President will travel to Cambridge, Maryland to attend the Democratic Issues Conference at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay. This is closed press.

The President will return to Washington, DC at night. The arrival on the South Lawn is open press.
