The scoop from Washington

Obama Nov. 15 week ahead. To Lisbon, Portugal

Schedule for Week of November 15, 2010

On Tuesday, the President will award Staff Sergeant Salvatore Giunta, U.S. Army, the Medal of Honor for conspicuous gallantry. Staff Sergeant Giunta will receive the Medal of Honor for his courageous actions during combat operations against an armed enemy in the Korengal Valley, Afghanistan in October 2007. The First Lady will also attend.

On Wednesday, the President will award the National Medal of Science and the National Medal of Technology and Innovation in the East Room of the White House.

On Thursday, the President will hold a meeting with Bipartisan Congressional Leadership at the White House. In the evening, the President will depart for the NATO Summit in Lisbon, Portugal.

On Friday, the President will attend the NATO Summit in Lisbon Portugal.

It seems that our most exalted President is scared to stay in Washington even while his party loses power and our economy is worse off than before he took that expansive and expensive trip to his boyhood home.

He is surely the most traveled president we've had in decades. If not traveling, then out campaigning or on vacation. Has he even spent any time actually at work, on the job??? When everyone got so vocal about this past trip to India, maybe they are avoiding the media with this trip. How many family, friends, pets, assistants, nannies, etc. are included in this one? Can't wait for 2012.
