Wisconsin Sen. Russ Feingold touting Obamacare in spot

Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wisc.) is touting President Obama's signature new health care law in a spot in his re-election contest, where he is pitted against Republican Ron Johnson. For an overview on Wisconsin voting trends--and the growing number of conservatives up north--check out the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Craig Gilbert's "Wisconsin Voter" blog.

He's proud of his vote for a bill that includes the following provisions
· burdens on access to reproductive care for women
· discrimination in fees based on gender and age
· regressive cost assessments and taxes
· unfunded mandates on states that have been progressive in providing for their residents.
· for the self employed unemployed and those whose employers don't provide coverage a mandate that we pay thousands of dollars to the insurance cartel
· ··and now it turns out a reporting requirement that will force all small businesses to spend each January doing 1099's.

We should make congress and your president get on the same health care program that the country is being forced to use.
