DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
MONDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2010

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. The President will then meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.

Later, the President will host the White House Science Fair celebrating the winners of a broad range of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) competitions. The President will view exhibits of these students' work, ranging from breakthrough basic research to new inventions, followed by remarks to an audience of students, science educators and business leaders on the importance of STEM education to our country's economic future. The President's viewing of the science fair projects in the State Dining Room will be pooled press. The President's remarks in the East Room will be open press.

In the evening, the President will deliver remarks at a dinner for the DSCC at a private residence in Rockville, Maryland. There will be print pool coverage of the President's remarks. The President's departure and arrival on the South Lawn are open press.
