DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2010
In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing and will then meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.
Later, the President will sign the Intel Authorization Bill and the Reducing Over Classification Bill in the Oval Office. There will be sprays for pool still photographers only for each signing.
In the afternoon, the President will meet with Secretary of the Treasury Geithner in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.
Later, the President will travel to Bowie, Maryland to attend an event for Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley at Bowie State University. This event is open to pre-credentialed media. The O'Malley Campaign is handling media credentials, however the deadline to request credentials has passed.
The President will then travel to Chicago, Illinois. The President's arrival at Chicago O'Hare International Airport is open press. In the evening, the President will deliver remarks at an event for Alexi Giannoulias at the Drake Hotel. There will be travel pool coverage of the President's remarks. Later, the President will attend a dinner event for Alexi Giannoulias at a private residence in Chicago, Illinois. This dinner is closed press.
The President will return to Washington, DC at night. The departure from Chicago O'Hare International Airport and the arrival on the South Lawn are open press.
