DURBIN STATEMENT ON VERDICT IN BLAGOJEVICH CASE

[SPRINGFIELD]--U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) released the following statement today regarding the verdict in the Rod Blagojevich case:

"Like so much about Rod Blagojevich's trial, this verdict was a bit hard to understand.

It is clear that the one thing the jury did agree on was that the former Governor did break the law and he should pay for that crime."
