DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
MONDAY, JULY 19, 2010
In the morning, the President will deliver a statement to the press about the economy in the Rose Garden. The President's remarks are open press.
Later in the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing and the Economic Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. Later, the President will meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.
In the afternoon, the President will welcome the WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury to the White House to honor the team's 2009 championship season. In conjunction with this event, members of the team will participate in a service project with local area youth during their visit to Washington, D.C. This continues a tradition begun by President Obama of sports champions serving in the community as part of their visit. This event in the State Dining Room is open press.
Later in the afternoon, the President will meet with Senator Glenn in the Oval Office to discuss the President's plan for an ambitious and achievable space program. This meeting is closed press.
In the evening, the President and First Lady will host a White House Music Series event in the East Room saluting Broadway to continue the White House music series celebrating the arts and demonstrating the importance of arts education by featuring Broadway music. The President's remarks are pooled press.
