DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
THURSDAY, JULY 1, 2010

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing and will meet with Secretary of the Treasury Geithner in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.

Later in the morning, the President will deliver remarks on the need to fix our broken immigration system through comprehensive immigration reform at the American University School of International Service. This event is pooled for TV and open to correspondents and still photographers. The remarks will be streamed live at WhiteHouse.gov/live.

In the afternoon, the President will have lunch with business leaders in the Old Family Dining Room. This lunch is closed press.

Later in the afternoon, the President and the Vice President will meet with Senate Majority Leader Reid in the Oval Office. The President and the Vice President will then receive a briefing on the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Situation Room. These meetings are closed press.

Later, the President will welcome Women's Professional Soccer Champions Sky Blue FC to the White House to honor their 2009 season and for winning the inaugural Women's Professional Soccer championship. This event in the East Room is open press.

Later, the President will meet with the Vice President in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press. The President will then sign the Iran Sanctions Bill in the East Room. This signing is open press.

Also tomorrow, at 1:00PM EDT, Director of Intergovernmental Affairs Cecilia Muñoz will hold an "Open for Questions Roundtable," taking questions from the public and from readers of a variety of online publications covering different aspects of the immigration issue. Learn more here.
