Obama and Snooki: Now the president knows who she is

WASHINGTON--President Obama was asked about Snooki, the New Jersey television character during his interview on "The View," broadcast on Thursday and taped Wednesday when he was in New York. Obama also brought up Snooki during his speech before the National Urban League on Thursday. But Obama's Snooki memory may be a bit hazy.

On "The View," host Joy Behar, in a pop culture quiz asked Obama, Should Snooki run as mayor of Wasilla?

"I've got to admit, I don't know who Snooki is," Obama said.

BUT OBAMA MADE A SNOOKI JOKE BEFORE: On May 2, 2010, Obama joked about Snooki during his speech at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner. "The following individuals shall be excluded from the indoor tanning tax within this bill. Snooki, J-WOWW, the Situation, and House Minority Leader John Boehner,

OBAMA'S URBAN LEAGUE SNOOKI REFERENCE: "I was on the "The View" yesterday, and somebody asked me who Snooki was. I said, I don't know who Snooki is. But I know some really good teachers that you guys should be talking about. I didn't say the teacher part, but I just -- (laughter.) The question is, who are we lifting up? Who are we promoting? Who are we saying is important?"

I luv snookii. She is amazing

It is silly to call the president a liar because he said he didn't know who Snooki was. When he appeared at the White house Correspondents
Association Dinner he was reading prepared jokes that were in fact written by others. And this is what he means by the media taking little unimportant things and turning them into national crises.

That's excatly right Mark, he's not a liar, he's just a puppet on a string. nothing that comes out of his mouth is his own.

Ha ha, thanks for sharing that first joke in which the Prez mentions Boehner's tan. I don't know who wrote it, but that IS pretty funny. Boehner is the only guido we currently have in Congress. I hope to one day live in a world where guidos have the right to marry. Guido rights!

Im glad President Barack Obama appeared on The View.At least he's not stuck up or thinking he's better than mainstream just because he's the President of the United States.I like him better than all the other past President's because he like to stay connected to regular people. This is why I think he went on the view. And I on't care what big mouth Rosie or Sarah Palin say's there just jealous!

I don't watch the show and I'm a bit ashamed to even know who Snooki is. If anyone SHOULDN'T be concerned with who Snooki is, it is the President. I'd move to Australia tomorrow if he was a Jersey Shore fan!!
