With drop-side cribs, strollers and other juvenile product recalls in the national spotlight, Chairman Tenenbaum will talk about new safety initiatives at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission that will improve recall effectiveness, focusing on the Danny Keysar Child Safety Notification Act that became effective on June 28, 2010. Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan, whose work helped to focus the nation's attention on product safety issues, will discuss her office's efforts to protect Illinois families. Danny's parents and consumer representatives will discuss the need for and details about this initiative. This is Chairman Tenenbaum's first visit to Chicago as Chair of the CPSC.
