DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
TUESDAY, JUNE 22, 2010

In the morning, the President and the Vice President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President will attend a meeting with health insurers and state insurance commissioners in the Roosevelt Room. This meeting is closed press. Following the meeting, the President will deliver remarks in the East Room regarding the ongoing effort to implement the new law, and the new benefits it affords to families across the country. The President's remarks are open press.

Later, the President and the Vice President will have lunch in the Private Dining Room. This lunch is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. The President will then meet with Secretary of Defense Gates in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press. Later in the afternoon, the President will hold a Cabinet Meeting in the Cabinet Room.

In the evening, the President will deliver remarks at an LGBT Pride Month event in the East Room. The Vice President will also attend. The President's remarks are pooled press.

Also tomorrow, the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH) will release the nation's first comprehensive strategy to prevent and end homelessness. The announcement will be broadcast live on www.whitehouse.gov/live and the plan will be available at www.usich.gov and www.hud.gov. Speakers at the event include: Secretary Shaun Donovan, Department of Housing and Urban Development; Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Department of Health and Human Services; Secretary Hilda Solis, Department of Labor; Secretary Eric Shinseki, Department of Veterans Affairs; Melody Barnes, Director, White House Domestic Policy Council; and Barbara Poppe, Executive Director, United States Interagency Council on Homelessness. The event will be held at 9:00 AM in the EEOB South Court Auditorium. Interested reporters should gather at 8:45 AM at the stakeout location outside of the West Wing.
