Blagojevich trial opening statements today

Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich federal corruption trial moves on to opening arguments on Tuesday, with U.S. District Court Judge James Zagel expected to finalize the jury panel this morning. For updates from inside the Dirksen Federal Building courtroom, check out the Chicago Sun-Times Blago Blog, presided over by Federal Courts reporter Natasha Korecki, who has been on this case since the beginning. Korecki is also Tweeting @NatashaKorecki.

Blagojevich and wife Patti are also Tweeting, though nothing from Blagojevich or Patti yet this morning. Check out my overview column on the Blagojevich trial--where the most sensational charge is the selling of President Obama's Illinois Senate seat--here.
