Dick Durbin named most admired senator by congressional insiders polled by National Journal

WASHINGTON-- Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), the number two leader in the Senate, was named the most admired senator by "congressional insiders" in a new National Journal poll.

Please tell me this is some kind of sick joke.
How could anyone in their right mind admire him.

I think we may have pinpointed what is wrong with Washington or "congressional insiders". How can anyone admire Sen. Durbin who compared US prison guards at Gitmo to Nazis.

Thanks to Sen. Dick Durbin, Congress appears likely to keep the D.C. voucher program CLOSED to new students, curtailing the hopes of advocates who had pressed for a full revival of the program.

Despite its success, Durbin has worked to kill the program, which gave parents and student educational choice. Durbin is, of course, the recipient of teacher's union support.
