WASHINGTON--Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.) just announced from the Senate floor--in a rare Saturday session--that she will vote to allow the Democratic championed health care legislation to proceed. Democratic Senate leaders needed a supermajority, 60 votes, to avoid a filibuster and proceed to the underlying legislation. The vote on the motion to proceed will take place at about 8 p.m. tonight. Sen. Dick Durbin and Sen. Tom Harkin will be flying back to Washington after a daytrip to tour a prison in northwest Illinois the Obama White House wants to buy to house Guantanamo detainees.

We can only hope that there were no DUMB Republicans who voted for this that we will have to defeat next year.
Americans do not realize that if Obama Care is passed it is the end of the country their forefathers fought and died for, pretty sad. Congress has absolutely no Constitutional power to make people buy health care, it is a travesty. If the founders of the country could see this I think they would agree that the great American Experiment is now officially over. Special interests and career politians have superseded the interests and desires of most Americans. The cost of this legislation will bankrupt the counry, of course we do not have far to go. I would expect no less of a "leader" that can not even prove he is an American. This is beyond fiction. Maybe, something good will come of this when the government can not pay for all of the claims on the horizon, or young people wake up to the fraud that may become "law". Any older American, or someone on Medicaid will be the first to feel the effects of this insane policy as they are forced to rationed health care.

This sucks. I hate politicians who only listen to $$$$$ I hope they all have to eat health care pie for thankstaking.
There are a lot of dumb Republicans. However, there are far more dumb Democrats. The present makeup of the Republican Party is not a winning one for America. Once again, however, they are closer to the answers than the Democrats. They just never seem to quite get it.
