DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2009

On Tuesday morning, the President will participate in a welcome ceremony at the Great Hall of the People. The welcome ceremony is pooled press.

The President will hold a bilateral meeting and an expanded bilateral meeting with President Hu Jintao of China in the Great Hall of the People. There will be a travel pool spray at the top of each meeting. Following the meetings, the President and President Hu Jintao of China will deliver joint statements to the press. The statements are open to pre-credentialed media.

In the afternoon, the President will tour the Forbidden City. Upon conclusion of the tour, the President will sign the guest book at the Gate of Loyal Obedience. The tour is pooled press.

Later, the President will visit United States Embassy employees and their families in the atrium of the U.S. Embassy. This visit is closed press.

The President will hold a bilateral meeting with Chairman Wu Bangguo. There will be a travel pool spray at the top of the meeting.

In the evening, the President will attend a State Dinner in the Great Hall of the People. There will be a travel pool spray at the top.
