DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2009

On Monday morning, the President will visit with United States Consulate employees and their families. This visit is closed press.

Later, the President will hold a bilateral meeting with Party Secretary, Yu Sheng, and Mayor of Shanghai, Han Zheng, in the banquet hall of the Xijiao State Guest House. There will be a pool spray at the top and bottom of the bilateral meeting. Following the meeting, they will participate in a working lunch in the banquet hall of the Xijiao State Guest House. This lunch is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will host a town hall meeting with future Chinese leaders at the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum. The town hall is open press. The event will be live streamed on http://www.whitehouse.gov/live.

Later in the afternoon, the President will depart Shanghai, China en route Beijing, China. Upon his arrival, the President will participate in a welcome ceremony at the Capitol International airport. The departure from Shanghai, arrival in Beijing, and the welcome ceremony are all pooled press.

In the evening, the President will be greeted by President Hu Jintao of China in Yangyuan Hall of the Diaoyutai State Guest house. Following the greet, both leaders will participate in a bilateral meeting in Yangyuan Hall. The greet will be pooled press and there will be a pool spray at the bottom of the bilateral meeting.

The President and President Hu of China will have dinner in the Banquet Hall of the Diaoyutai State Guest House. There will be a pool spray at the top of the dinner.

The White House and SBA Administrator Karen Mills will host a live video discussion at 3:15 PM EST in advance of the forum on lending and small business on Wednesday. The chat will focus on the ways the White House, the SBA and the Treasury Department are working with small business to spur economic recovery, and will help inform Wednesday's forum. The discussion will be streamed live at WhiteHouse.gov and through the White House's live-chat Facebook application: http://apps.facebook.com/whitehouselive/
