Obama's weighty issue; talks about weight loss

WASHINGTON--Here's the lighter side of President Obama, about five pounds worth.

Two male network correspondents asked Obama about his weight, after a serious discussion about other issues during one and one interviews in Bejing, China.

Obama told NBC's Chuck Todd, "My weight fluctuates about five pounds. It has for the last 30 years. It's unchanging. I still wear the same -- some of the same stuff I did when I got married 17 years ago. My hair's gotten a lot grayer; there's no doubt about that. But I'm not sure whether that's just because I was about the age where my hair was going to start getting gray."

Chip Reid from CBS also asked Obama about his health. "Well, look, my weight doesn't fluctuate too much. It goes in a five-pound band width," Obama said.

Even with all the burdens, Obama said, "But I'm eating fine and I'm sleeping fine. My hair is getting gray, and it is the butt of a lot of jokes from my wife as well as my friends. You just don't have a comparable set of circumstances with two wars, a financial crisis as bad as anything since 1933, a host of regional issues that have to be dealt with, a pandemic."

Good Grief - this man is so arrogatn it is really unbelievable... ALL Presidents age! Why couldn't he just say that... Even with all the items he's listed - he can't name a single thing he's done so it is not as if he has worked so hard!

Traci-
I don't really see the arrogance to discuss weight and gray hair. Totally missing your point.

Arrogance. Now that's a strange reaction to such simple, somewhat joking statements. Boy, talk about hateful bias.

I dont care I just wish he'd get thin enough to disappear off my tv screen!

He is such an ass. How old is this jerk, 48? Is it really that amazing that he's graying? And he's sleeping fine, huh? Why am I not surprised? A decent human being in the office he holds might be a wee bit restless thinking about all the men and women fighting and dying under him while he putzes around trying to make his decision whether or not to listen to the general HE hired. How much longer till 2012?

Well, at least it wasn't about boxers or briefs. Look, as President, Obama is facing huge challenges. But the greatest challenge and burden, hands down, has got to be his own inexperience and political/geopolitical ignorance. He was completely unprepared for the job and is now completely in over his head. Not gonna feel good. All he has to rely on is his radical Left ideology, which even he, at some level, has to know has FAILED every time it has been tried throughout history. And, the larger the scale on which name-your-version-of-Communism is tried, the more epic the FAILURE. Finally, for the record: Obama is less than one year in office and he looks like crap. Please, Mr. President, take action to get and stay healthier.

WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST LISTEN, THE MAN IS SMART, HE HAS ANSWERS, HE ISN'T SOME PUPPET ON A STRING, TRY LISTENING TO WHAT HE SAYS FOR A CHANGE, IF YOU ASK HIM A QUESTION, HE IS GOING TO GIVE YOU AN INTELLIGENT ANSWER, SOMETHING WE HAVEN'T HAD IN THIS COUNTRY FOR THE LAST 8 YEARS, THE TRUTH HURTS DOESN'T IT, TRACI!
THE MAN HAS ALOT ON HIS PLATE, AND HE HANDLES IT WELL, HE IS TRUELY THE RIGHT MAN FOR THE JOB, AT THE RIGHT TIME, THANK GOD!

Yes, indeed, he is smart and knows what he is doing. The economy and the Wars all began before he was elected. He has surrounded himself with qualified, credible professionals. And as commander in chief, he is not going to stand before America and tell us he is worried, and he is losing weight. Those of you who are so critical, listen to what you are saying. But, most of all, why don't you go back and read some American History about the U.S.Presidency? You will find there were many presidents who had challenging issues and there is no way to come in to this office and be prepared. Lyndon Johnson and Vietnam, Jimmy Carter and Iran, Franklin Roosevelt and WWII, John F. Kennedy and Civil Rights, and the Bay of Pigs. Before you can make a judgement, you must know something about the history, then you can give an intelligent opinion which you can back up. President Obama is not a jerk nor is he an a.. Rather, he is your President of the United States of America and consider yourself lucky that you are part of this great country.

Try wearing wearable weights like “Body Togs” anatomically designed weighted sleeves worn on your arms & legs under your clothes. Put them on in the morning and you literally forget you have them on while increasing your calorie burn, muscle tone & bone density! Weighted vests work great too!

I think he should gain just few kilos, otherwise he looks perfect...Hmmm, does he still smoke? :)

I've tried various low-carb, low-calorie, and low-fat diets for the past couple of years. Although the Atkins diet is very popular,

it made me feel somewhat unhealthy.

The diet plan I'm on right now is the Medifast Diet. The caloric intake is roughly 800-1000 calories. However, it doesn't make my

body feel weak. It is a bit of a pricey diet, but there are plenty of coupons available on the

internet.http://www.swoopup.com/stores/deals/Medifast-Diet .You should never pay full price.

My advice is just choose a diet plan which your body reacts positively to. No one knows your body better than you do!
