WASHINGTON--There was a spat of rumors going on about the health of Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.). He is fine, Ken Edmonds his chief of staff told me Friday night.
"Needless to say, wild and ridiculous rumors may run fast, but have short legs. Congressman Jackson is alive, well and going strong," Edmonds told me.
"In fact, he has a busy weekend schedule of meetings and events, including making an appearance and remarks at a health care symposium at The Upper Room Church in Lansing on Sunday morning. He's also hosting a meeting among newly-elected South Suburban Mayor and Managers on Monday afternoon," he said.
