DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

MONDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2009

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing, the Economic Daily Briefing, and meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press. The President will then meet with his national security team on Afghanistan and Pakistan in the Situation Room. This meeting is closed press. Expected attendees include:

Vice President Biden (via videoconference)

Secretary of State Clinton

Secretary of Defense Gates

General James Jones, National Security Advisor

Tom Donilon, Deputy National Security Advisor

John Brennan, Assistant to the President for Counterterrorism and Homeland Security

Rahm Emanuel, White House Chief of Staff

In the afternoon, the President will travel to Jacksonville, Florida. The departure from the South Lawn and the arrival at Naval Air Station Jacksonville are open press.

The President will deliver remarks to servicemen and women at Naval Air Station Jacksonville. This event is open press. The President will then meet with personnel from the Navy and Marine Corps. There will be a pool spray at the top of the meeting.

Later, the President will travel to Miami. The arrival at Miami International Airport is open press.

In the evening, the President will deliver remarks at a DSCC/DCCC fundraising reception and a DSCC/DCCC fundraising dinner at the Fontainebleau Hotel. The President's remarks at both events are pooled press.

The President will spend the night in Miami.
