DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2009

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing and the Economic Daily Briefing, which will include an update from the Vice President on the progress of implementing the Recovery Act, in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.

The President will have lunch with business leaders in the Private Dining Room. This lunch is closed press. Later, the President will meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will drop by the White House basketball court, where the National Naval Medical Center Marine Wounded Warrior basketball team will be playing. This is closed press.

Later, the President and the Vice President will meet separately with Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.

In the evening, the President will play basketball with Cabinet Secretaries and Members of Congress on the White House basketball court. Expected attendees include:
