Arne Duncan joining Chicago's Olympic pitch in Copenhagen

WASHINGTON--Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, the former Chicago schools chief, who played pro basketball in Australia, will be part of the delegation heading to Copenhagen to help pitch Chicago as the host of the 2016 summer Olympic games.

And I'm being advised on Thursday morning by the White House that they are still not ready to nail down whether President Obama will show up for the Oct. 2 final sales pitch to the International Olympic Committee.

boy...a regular fools paradise!!

Hello,

If President Obama cannot go it will be well, there are pressing issues in the White House. Michelle Obama and others will get the bid in for Chicago.

The IOC and people of Copenhagen must be thrilled. They are going to be graced with the presence of the guy who ran the worst school system in America, then got a promotion for no other reason than being connected.

Well if nothing else, he definately is representative of what Chicago is all about
