U.S. Representative Judy Biggert will join fellow suburban lawmaker Rep. Mark Kirk for a special legislative roundtable with members of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce to discuss health care, labor, energy and other issues important to area residents and regional economic growth.

WHY:
As Congress examines a major government takeover of the nation's health care system and other proposals expected to have profound implications for small businesses, employees, and their families, Reps. Biggert and Kirk will join the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce for an informative roundtable discussion on these critical topics and the potential impact on area jobs and the economy. Biggert and Kirk will provide a brief legislative update for business and community leaders on health reform, labor and energy policies, as well as transportation issues. Chamber President John Schmitt will facilitate a Q&A session to take comments and address concerns on issues ranging from the proposed tax increases contained in the current House health bill to better ideas for improving the accessibility, affordability, and quality of health care without undermining economic growth or driving away high-quality private insurance options many enjoy today.
