Sen. Harry Reid to hit Chicago for fund-raising lunch

WASHINGTON--Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nv.) hits Chicago on June 12 for a fund-raising lunch hosted by attorney William Singer at the law offices of Kirkland & Ellis. The event is billed as an "extraordinary, intimate opportunity to meet him, one on one, and to participate in an open ended discussion of the most important issues of the day."

President Obama stumped in Nevada last week for Reid, up for re-election in 2010 and Singer used that peg to bolster his pitch: "We in Chicago who are supporters of the President can help him by supporting Senator Reid. Please make your check out for either $1,000 or the maximum of $2,300 to Friends of Harry Reid."
