President Obama official schedule and guidance, June 26, 2009. Meeting with German Chancellor Merkel

FRIDAY, JUNE 26, 2009

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing and the Economic Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. These briefings are closed press.

Later, the President will hold a one-on-one meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany in the Oval Office. They will then hold an expanded meeting in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.

Following the meetings, President Obama and Chancellor Merkel will hold a joint press availability in the Rose Garden. This event is open press, but all riser positions have been allocated.

President Obama and Chancellor Merkel will then attend a working lunch in the Old Family Dining Room. This lunch is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will meet separately with the Vice President and senior advisors in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.

In the evening, the President and the First Lady will host a picnic on the South Lawn for White House staff. The event is closed press.
