DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17, 2009

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing, the Economic Daily Briefing, and meet with senior advisors. These meetings are closed press.

Later, the President will meet with regulators in the Roosevelt Room. There will be a photo spray at the top of the meeting.

In the afternoon, the President will lay out a comprehensive regulatory reform plan to modernize and protect the integrity of our financial system in the East Room. He will be joined by Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, representatives from the regulatory community, consumer groups, the financial industry and members of Congress. This event is open press.

Later in the afternoon, the President will meet with Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

In the evening, the President will deliver brief remarks and sign a Presidential Memorandum regarding federal benefits and non-discrimination in the Oval Office. This event is pooled press.

Also tomorrow at 3:00PM EDT, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Nancy-Ann DeParle, Director of the White House Office of Health Reform, and state legislators from across the country will hold a brief media availability at the West Wing Stakeout Location to discuss the importance of enacting health reform and the work state legislators will do to help make health reform a reality.
