WASHINGTON--After three days in Paris, First Lady Michelle Obama and her daughters on Tuesday were on their second day of sightseeing in London, continuing their European vacation.
The BBC was reporting that Mrs. Obama and her family surprised a British pub owner when they dropped in for dinner on Monday night. From the BBC: "The family dropped into The Audley, in the exclusive Mayfair district, which boasts the "best fish and chips in W1" on a board outside....The family spent about two and half hours at the pub, which is round the corner from the US embassy in Grosvenor Square, with Mrs. Obama enjoying a meal of sirloin steak and chips and her daughters tucking into traditional fish and chips."
Mrs. Obama, Malia and Sasha--who turns eight on Wednesday--flew to London Monday morning from Paris. Semonti Musphati, a spokesman for Mrs. Obama said the Obama women "visited Big Ben and the Tower of London and she met with Mrs. Brown."
