I know this is for publicity, BUT PARENTS BUY YOUR CHILDREN BOOKS AND READ TO THEM!
TAKE TIME AND GET THEM A LIBRARY CARD. You will be amaze at what kids will read when putting books in front of them instead of letting the T.V. and video games baby-sit your child.
ONCE A CHILD becomes an avid reader, THEY WILL READ ANYTHING AND THIS EXPANDS THEIR HORIZONS OF THE WORLD AROUND THEM!!
Get your child in a Book Club!
KNOWLEDGE is ATTAIN through READING!! - it needs repeating - KNOWLEDGE is ATTAIN through READING!!
Like the Nike commericial, JUST DO IT!!
The most important thing you can do for your child is to spend a few minutes a day and read. Children need to be read to on a daily basis. Also, they need to see you read.
Your children will do what they see you do. If you want them to read, they must see you read.
Select a variety of short books and find your child's area of interest.
First dog is one of our children's favorites! The author J. Patrick Lewis has well over 6o children's books as well as incredible poetry, that will send readers of any age hungry for more pages! The illustrator Tim Bowers, will send your children's adventuring eyes deep into the amazing pages! Please do your reader a favor and dive into J. Patrick Lewis talents!
Sincerely book worms,
Riley and Trey Robinson! (Newark, OH)
P.S. every teacher should have a copy of First Dog!
