THIS GUY CAN'T RUN FOR RE-ELECTION AND NOW MAYBE
HE WILL LOSE THE SEAT, HE SHOULD LEARN THAT SILENCE IS GOLDEN, STOP TALKING TO THE MEDIA,
IF YOU HAVE AN ATTORNEY, LET HIM EARN HIS MONEY,
MR. BURRIS IS TOO OLD AND HE TALKS TO MUCH, HE
SHOULD HAVE NEVER TAKEN THIS POSITION, HE IS
TAINTED FOR LIFE!
HE SOUNDS BAD ON THE WIRETAPS!
HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND OR MAYBE HE DOES, HE WAS
SEEKING THE OFFICE, THE EX-GOV WAS OFFERING THE
POSITION THRU HIS BROTHER, HE SHOULDN'T HAVE
SPOKEN TO THIS GUY ABOUT THE JOB, HE LOOKS BAD!
HE IS A REAL LAMEDUCK SENATOR, HE COULDN'T RUN
FOR DOGCATCHER!
If "the stuff hits the fan", and all of Burris' shenanigans begin to implode upon him...can't you see him...sweating and hysterical...madly clutching the well-tailored legs of Harry Reid...as he begs to be saved from Senatorial expulsion??
I can.
Reduced to groveling and tearful entreaties...and slobbering promises to bring "credit", instead of more embarrassment and dishonor, upon the Senate. Bowing and scraping... a la "Yessuh! No-suh! Whatever you say, suh!!" An 18-carat coward and phony...having unmasked himself, in full...too delusional to see the shameless and ugly impression that he has left with his colleagues, his constituents, his family, and, at long last, himself...
Ms. Sweet...
You, Warren and Matthews are always great fun to watch. Always candid...informative...even-handed...and, consistently, "in the know".
Watching the three of you, my "Baloney-O-Meter" NEVER "sounds-off"!
A lack of self-awareness...especially in public figures...is a dangerous deficiency.
Burris reminds me of the "skunk at the picnic", who shows-up, uninvited, at parties...eats everything that isn't nailed-down...gets stinking drunk...strips to his boxers...and puts a lampshade on his head...
Burris abrogates his fitness for office by demonstrating an abysmal lack of respect for the law...consideration for his constituency...a flagrant contempt for the truth...and, a desperate appetite to achieve his ends, no matter the cost.
He must be an educated and intelligent man, but this episode in his career makes me wonder about that. His unbridled appetite for self-aggrandizement, and his peculiar brand of "glory" make him appear to be nothing more than a cheap and smarmy "cheat"...and, nothing more...
Maybe it's me, but I read those transcripts as Rob Blagojevich thinking in his mind that Roland Burris isn't getting this appointment and that it was simply trying to get him to raise money for his brother's campaign.
Still wonder what Danny Davis thinks about his decision to refuse the appointment (I LOVE HIM FOR THAT) and his support of Roland Burris (I HATE HIM FOR THAT)
BURRIS AND DANNY DAVIS HAVE BEEN FRIENDS ALONG TIME!
FRIENDS DON'T STOP BEING FRIENDS OVER A JOB!
