WASHINGTON--First Lady Michelle Obama will be joining President Obama on one leg of his Mideast and European trip next week. She will accompany the president to Normandy to mark the 65th anniversary of D-Day.

On Monday the president will attend meetings and an event here at
the White House.
On Tuesday, before we leave, he will attend meetings and an event
here at the White House.
In the evening, as you all well know, the president will travel
to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He will arrive in Riyadh on Wednesday at
approximately 12:50 p.m. local time. He will meet with King Abdullah
and spend the night in Riyadh.
On Thursday morning very early local time -- I think about --
well, very early -- the president will travel to Cairo, Egypt. He
will be there until the early evening and travel to Dresden, Germany,
where he will spend the night.
On Friday the president has some business in Dresden and will
visit the Buchenwald concentration camp. In the evening he will
depart to Paris, France, where he will spend the night.
On Saturday the president will travel to Normandy to participate
in activities commemorating the 65th anniversary of D-Day, will
overnight in Paris that night and travel back to Washington, D.C., on
Sunday.
