Why is Global Warming at the bottom of the list? Perhaps it's because it is played down by ads that say we have to save the woodlands and wetlands and animals and fishes and clean the water so our children can "see" it/them and enjoy them, instead of making a big deal of saving the ecology to save the planet so humanity and everything else can survive.
I am surprised at the unrelenting attention given to Nancy Pelosi.....the real issue is whether WHO ordered waterboardig and WHAT constitutes torture ?????
Could we just have a change of scene here ???
In trying to destroy Nancy Pelosi, the really important issues are being ignored. The issue is "torture & waterboarding". Pelosi never did have the "power" regarding torture.
I am very disappointed in CNN's incessant drumming on certain details that are just not really the issue. There seems to just be a need to "keep this thing going" because of an unhealthy joy in endless controversy, rather than in trying to solve problems.
I just wish the news media would keep us informed. Isn't this their function ? There is so much going on in the world, yet we are subjected to either endless repetition, boredom & frustration...or we must turn off the TV.
ANOTHER VERY SERIOUS ISSUE that has been ignored is .... SMITHFIELD FARMS HOG FARM in Mexico is the site of the first Swine Flu outbreak. When do we hear this coverage ?
This is an American Corporation...this is never mentioned. The animals are restrained & live in filth. They become diseased, & are given antibiotics. Where is the Animal Rescue League and the American Medical Assoc ?
The animals breath in their own filth, the air is permeated with the smell of urine (amonia).
Then the public buys & eats this defective meat.
THEN, THE ONLY ANSWER THEY HAVE FOR IS THIS ????
"GO GET A VACCINATION !!!! "
This is good for the drug companies....again !!!
These American Corporation Hog Farms are also situated within the United States and parts of Europe. This is a health hazard to all of us and it is entirely preventable. (Take a look at the restraints these animals live with, look at their living conditions?) Then ask yourself if there is any surprise to find that Swine Flu is spreading ?
WHAT IS WRONG WITH CNN THAT THEY ARE NOT REPORTING THIS ??? .... and other important issues. ????
Why are you choking Nancy Pelosi down our throats ????????
I am listening to CNN at this moment. They are saying we have no way to prevent this disease of Swine Flu. What ????
Try cleaning up the hog farms.
Try to face the fact that we are responsible for the torture of animals...if you doubt this, check out the facts !!! Look at the pictures on the internet......or ..... go visit one of these "farms" and try to breathe the air & look at the suffering of the animals.
Liz Cheny's responses to Wolf Blitzer's questions on President's Obamas speech did nothing to deal with the seriou issues discussed by the President
I WANT TO GET IT CLEAR THAT THIS COUNTRY HAS NO PLACE FOR ANYONE, WHO THINKS PROJECTING OUR PRESIDENT IN OBSURED FACE.AND HAVE THE REST OF OUR PRESIDENTS IN TRUE FORM. SHOULD NOT ONLY BE FIRED.BUT PUT PUBLIC FOR OTHERS COMMETS.HER EMPLOYER SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR LETTING THINKS LIKE THIS BE FUNNY. AND HER SAYING SHES A GOOD EMPLOYER. I WANT TO SAY TO HER NO SHES NOT. WHAT IS SHE LOOKING AT WHEN SHE SEE THAT IMAGE.
Tonight, sandy Crowley was saying "There are no death squads" in the proposed Obama health care plan.
She is mistaken. The IMAC ("Independent Medical Advisory Committee") item in the proposal harbors the seed of treatment denial/euthanasia. To understand this one must know the background of the person(s) responsible for crafting the IMAC.
He deserves a second chance I live in the philadelphia area nobody loves animals more than I do we should show some compassion for the human race alot of the dogs were able to be adopted they went to dog town, people are uneducated and know nothing of what happened to the dogs that were rescued the spca will put a dog to sleep if it thinks it has parvo they say they can not afford to test these dogs so how many die daily that don not have the disease? -----
The controversy with the school speech was not about race, it was not about party affilliation. It was about our kids.Obama has been less than truthful with the American people since he took office.Anyone who opposes his agendas have been labeled racist, astro turf,a--holes or worse. The real problem he has is a lack of trust. He has surrounded himself with Czars and cabinet members of questionable backgrounds.Van Jones being the latest. He said in his campaign that he would be known by the ones he surrounds himself with.Enough said. We never know what liberal stupidity will spew out of his mouth.I watched his revised speech. I seen no problem with the revised version. Americans don't trust him and he has brought that on himself.
Wolf... PLEASE!
FORBID GUESTS TO TALK OVER each other.
You should treat them like rude children ! Turn off their mike... give reasonable time for response.
Their points are lost by ...
Hearing impaired viewers CAN NOT hear their racket... it just becomes annoying! DG
Wolf (and just about every other host on a political interest show):
If you are not going to hold out for the answer to your question to some politico, don't ask it. Rather, just ask whomever to say whatever he or she wants to say on a topic and save yourself the embarrassment of seeing your question totally ignored!!!!!!!
Some of the questions are great, but are never answered.
How about putting the question on the bottom of the screen so the public will see just how evasive the answer is.

Unless you live on Mexico's borders, don't judge what Arizona is doing, People from any other state will obviously know the extent of the illegal problem. The fact they have babies, that we pay for, so they can cry poor us if we try to deport them, should make you shutter on that fact alone. The fact they look us in the eye and claim we were "illegals" (when there was no law and order) too, so they can get by with being here, should make the hair stand up like an electric shock. Quit using politics for an excuse for getting fleeced by these people.
I am watching Situation Room, Tuesday Aug 4 1530
and watched the report on bringing back wounded soldiers on air evac. You reported in WWII and Vietnam it took sometimes months to get the wounded home. I am a retired Navy Nurse Corps Captain. I was stationed aboard the USS Repose, AH-16 in 1967-68 that served off the Vietnam coast and from first hand experience I can tell you during Vietnam it did NOT take months to return our wounded sailors and marines to an appropriate medical facility in CONUS. The Nightengale Nine transported our patients who were not able to return to combat within 45 or 60 days, not sure which, because their units could not receive replacemens while the soldier was in country. Therefor amputations, fractures, neuosurgery patients and other critical injuries were stablized and medivaced to DaNang as soon as possible, usually a few days, and then either to Yokosuka or The States. While the present medivac process is top notch, as is always true our past war time experiences in dealing with our brave wounded almost always leads to improved overall trauma care. I do pray someday we can do away with the war component of our education.
