WASHINGTON--The Obama family on Saturday night dined at the Georgetown home of Chicago friend and White House advisor Valerie Jarrett.
From the pool report: "This was a family occasion at the home of Valerie Jarrett, long-time Chicago friend of the Obamas' and now senior White House advisor. Daughters Malia and Sasha and what appeared to be three of their girls friends accompanied the president and first lady at what was described as their first private dinner party away from the White House."

President Obama and family attended a private dinner, leaving the White House at 6:31 p.m., arriving at designation at 6:40 p.m., returning to White House at 11:18 p.m.
No news. Lid called.

It was only a matter of time before the president and Mrs. Obama attended a ``private Georgetown dinner party,'' mythical venue of the ``liberal elite.''
But hold the escargot! Keep the sauvignon blanc corked!

The Easter Weekend marks a week of other ``firsts'' for the first family.
Sunday: First Sunday church service for the Obamas since the Inauguration.
Monday: First Easter Egg Roll.
Tuesday: Rollout of the first dog -- a six-month-old Portuguese water dog named Bo, according to Washingtonpost.com.
Thursday: Obama's first visit to Mexico as president.
Your pool had a long and noisy van-hold beneath the Whitehurst Freeway outside the Jarrett residence on the Georgetown waterfront (33rd and Water St.), providing hours to take in the Saturday night scene of strollers, cyclists, dog walkers and dog-frisbee workouts and ample time for Blackberry thumb exercise.
Nature note: Several squadrons of waterfowl achieved and maintained sharped-edged ``V'' formations flying north over the Potomac, carefully maintaining vertical separation from southbound MD-80s, 737s, 727s, etc., in the DCA landing pattern.

Okay. I understand Valerie Jarrett is a close family friend with the Obamas and now senior advisor. What America really wants to know and cares most about: Was the family dog along for the ride and dinner? Will the press corps have the same level of access to the White House Kennel as it does to the President? AND Does Bo know Diddly?
Please stop giving out the addresses of the people the President visit. That is not necessary. Suppose he stop having the press follow him? Or maybe he should not let the press know everyplace he goes. HE CAN DO THAT, YOU KNOW.
