DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
MONDAY, MARCH 23, 2009
In the morning, President Obama and Vice President Biden will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.
The President and the Vice President will receive the Economic Daily Briefing in the Roosevelt Room. They will be joined by Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, FDIC Chairwoman Sheila Bair, and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke. There will be a pool spray at the bottom of the meeting.
Following a meeting with advisors, the President will deliver remarks about investments in clean energy and new technology included in the budget in Room 450 of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. This event will be pooled press.
The President will also meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.
Also tomorrow, the third Regional White House Forums on Health Reform will take place in Des Moines, Iowa and will be livestreamed on www.HealthReform.gov. The forum will be moderated by Iowa Governor Chet Culver and South Dakota Governor Mike Rounds. Nancy-Ann DeParle, director of the White House Office on Health Reform, will represent the Obama administration.
