DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11, 2009

Tomorrow morning, President Obama will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This is closed press.

The President will also receive the Economic Daily Briefing with Treasury Secretary Geithner in the Oval Office. There will be a pool spray at the bottom of the meeting.

The President will then meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President will make an announcement about earmark reform in Room 350 in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. This event is pooled for TV and open to correspondents.

In the afternoon, President Obama will deliver remarks and sign an Executive Order creating the White House Council on Women and Girls in the East Room. Chaired by Valerie Jarrett, the Council will provide a coordinated federal response to the challenges confronted by women and girls and to ensure that all Cabinet and Cabinet-level agencies consider how their policies and programs impact women and families. The First Lady and Dr. Jill Biden will also attend. This event is open press.

Later, the President will meet with Democratic members of the Senate and House Budget Committees. These meetings are closed press.
