DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2009

Tomorrow morning President Obama will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing and meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press. In the late morning he will visit a construction site in Springfield, Virginia with Governor Tim Kaine to highlight the jobs that will be created by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and his commitment to making sure the American people know how their tax dollars will be spent. This event is pooled press.

In the afternoon, the President will meet with Secretary of Defense Robert Gates in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Also tomorrow, state transportation officials from nearly every state will stop at the stake out location at 3:15PM after meeting with Secretary of Transportation LaHood and Rahm Emanuel to discuss the infrastructure needs in their states as well as the projects that are ready to go once the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act passes.
