DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2009

Tomorrow morning, President Obama will travel to Ottawa, Canada. The departure from the South Lawn is open press.

Upon arrival in Ottawa, the President will meet with Governor General of Canada Michaëlle Jean in the Canada Reception Centre at the Ottawa International Airport. Following the meeting, he will travel to Parliament Hill, where he will be met by Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Parliament officials. They will hold a sit-down meeting in the Prime Minister's office and then have a working lunch. In the afternoon, the President and Prime Minister will hold a joint press availability, which will be open press.

The President will then depart Parliament Hill and travel to the Ottawa International Airport, where he will meet with Leader of the Official Opposition Michael Ignatieff. Afterwards, he will meet with US Embassy employees and their families, before departing Ottawa to return to Andrews Air Force Base.

The President will return to the Washington DC in the evening. The arrival on the South Lawn is open press.
