Didn't Geraldo Rivera previously get lost in a tunnel looking for Al Capone's hideout or something? Well maybe the guy is lost again, I don't know but because he can scream louder than someone else does not make his statements defensible for Blagojevich.

I keep wondering why is it so hard for people to understand there are two issues at stake. One is the compentency of Blagojevich to goven the state of Illinois which is leading to impeachment hearings. And the other is a criminal trial where he is caught on tape saying things a political figure would hope never happens while in office.

Just because both are centered on the incriminating tapes does not mean there are NOT two separate issues such as impeachment for derelict and unfit to perform duties as governor of Illinois. While the other is allegedly caught on tape trying to sell a Senatorial seat which is a criminal act. Also, the snippets might be taken out of context, but how much can it be when stating don't pay the doctor's fees or bills for the Children's Hospital?

That alone is criminal. How Blago like if those were his children?

Just because these allegations are a by-product of this action does not stop the procedure of the impeachment. Here is a guy running around the country begging for mercy from everyone except the people of Illinois.

What are the people of other states going to do? March on Springfield or something?

I am appall that he would try to use Oprah Winfrey to garner the support of a particular segment of the population. If he is clean as he states let the tapes be played and defend himself.

I agree with him. He and Patti should play themselves. However, the rest of the characters should be animated like in Roger Rabbit.

Martin Sheene (how do you spell his name?)has to play Governor Blagojevich. And Marisa Tomei should be Patti. Oliver Stone needs to do this picture because he has the experience to follow a complicated story and get it right. Their story should be told because of the implications for our political system, Constitutional rights, and balance of the three branches of our state government. We need to make some changes. To "By anonymous" You think you are the only one who gets it? How about this? Our Governor has done more to pay for children's health care than any other governor in the US. How would he be reelected to continue to do the same without the money to run again? That is why we need to change the way we pay for political campaigns.

Well, technically he didn't pay for the childrens health plan, he just illegally put the program into effect without having a way to pay for it and many of the providers aren't getting paid, so really how effective was it?

The legislature is the only one who can obligate money and if he would have worked with them, rather than trying to go around them, many more children could have been helped. He spent money illegally on Flu vaccine that went to waste (how many kids could that money have helped?). He also illegally imported prescription drugs from other countries and didn't really help out alot of people and just recently the company importing them for the state stopped doing it cause hardly anyone was using it.

He also cause a CAT fare hike and fund shortages by giving free rides to ALL seniors, not just the ones who need it the most (the same people who are eligible for circuit breaker assistance). He hurt alot of people who are hurting more right now in the pocketbook than some of the people he "helped".

The gov is really a self-serving, self-grandizing, narcissist who only does things to make himself look better and when there is "something in it for him".

He's an embarrassment to the citizens of Illinois that he professes to represent. I for one can't wait to see him gone. He is a blight on the state of Illinois and has made us both a national and international bad joke.

I think the guy in this parody BLOG-ojevich should play him. He's a dead ringer!
