PRNewsChannel) / Chicago, Ill. / Gov. Rod Blagojevich will fly to the state capitol Thursday morning for closing arguments in his impeachment trial, according to The Publicity Agency (www.thepublicityagency.com), the outside PR/publicity firm hired by the governor.

Up until now, the governor has boycotted the trial saying it is unfair and that he believes "the fix is in."

Thursday, Gov. Blagojevich will make a passionate closing argument to Illinois senators who will decide whether to oust him from office.

The governor was working on his speech to lawmakers past midnight--a speech that will include an explanation as to why he decided to appear after boycotting the hearings all week.

He's expected to begin his sppech at approximately 11am CT. He will not be making any statements beforehand.

Well Blagojavich is out. I realy don't understand why it hd to be done in such a hurry. If Blagojavich was truly guilty then why not wait for him to get a fair trial. It seems to me that the Illinois Senate was truly not interested in giving him a fair trial. Why was johnny Johnson not called in to testify. He seems to be the only one that could clear that portion of the allegations against Blago. If he would have gone before the Senate and told them how Blago forced him to give the $100,000.00 then I would have found that more convincing than these tapes played. This alleged "pay to play" skeem would have been clearly exposed. instead we end up hearing all these ambiguous tapes of what was labeled "gangster talk". It is going to be an interesting trial. I personnally don't call this "gangster talk", I call it "lawyer talk". Who do you think teaches gansters how to talk this way if not lawyers. The only thing I see corrupted here at this time is Democracy itself. My vote and the vote of every Illinoian who voted for Blago has been rendered invalid and meaningless by what I can only label "fill in the blanks justice". In this type of justice you listen to an ambiguous taped conversation fill in what you think the conversation is about and convict or acquit the person. I hope the jury at Blago's trial has a better sense of justice. I hope the prosecution has a better case than just these tapes. I feel violated as an Illinois voter. If Blago is vindicated at trial all I will be able to say is F_ _ _ every person who violated my vote. Feel free to fill in the blanks. Maybe in a true Democracy it should be the voters who should fill in the blanks.
