The scoop from Washington

Jill Biden's perfect scorecard

WASHINGTON--I just finished reading an upbeat, interesting profile of Jill Biden in the Washington Post--her first major newspaper story. And here's something--I realized that between Barack and Michelle Obama, John and Cindy McCain, Sarah and Todd Palin and Joe and Jill Biden--only Prof. Biden has been gaining consistent positive press.

The Post profile is well timed for the Obama-Biden ticket, making a big push for northern Virginia voters in the Post coverage range.

It is hard to think so many Americans are so shallow! I know we are a country of fast food and immediate gratification but come on people, look at the facts of record.

You can't CHANGE the system if you have never even stood up to the system!

Times are hard and with the Baby Boomers retiring it will get even harder. There is no quick, Slick Willy fix! This subprime loan of Carter/Clinton took a while to put in place and it's effects are pretty deep as we all can see. So much for the Social Engineering of the Democrats! Thanks allot Clinton and Carter!

I don't think McCain is the best choice for President, however, Obama is by FAR the worst choice for President! Even his own running mate has told us over and over again that he is too dangerous for the country! When are you going to listen? After we invade Pakistan like he said he would do during the debates?

We Americans have to take responsibility and work through this hard time! We can't spend or tax our way out of it! We must elect McCain if we stand a chance at all of heading off a depression and world conflict!

Start taking responsibility and thinking for yourself! Pelosi and her clowns will never tell you the truth, just look at this proof:

Why not right an article explaining all of Biden's gaffes????? Biden says if Obama is elected we will face a manufactured crisis. That is very reassuring. How about the one with FDR being president in 1929 and how he went on TV?????????? Joe is so brilliant, but Sarah Palin is unqualified. Joe can count to three, or can he? Joe: "Obama has a 3 letter word jobs, J-O-B-S!" The best one is when he is looking at Chuck Graham from MO sitting in a wheel chair. "Stand up Chuck! Let em see you! Stand up! Oh what am I doing???" This man is a moron. People talk of McCain's age, but no one mentions Biden and his ability to lodge is foot deep in his mouth.

wow. maybe jill should be vp... all respect to sarah and todd but the biden's are in another league...

The story is not the least bit unusual.

For every positive story regarding McCain and Palin the the media writes two positive stories about Obama and Biden.

Mark Penn is correct when he states "the biggest loser in this year's election is the media".

Eric,I think you mean "WRITE an article." Though by using "right", you certainly show us which way you lean!

HIS RUNNING MATE TOLD YOU THAT JUST LIKE KENNEDY
HE WOULD BE TESTED!
I DON'T THINK ANYONE IS REALLY GOING TO TEST HIM,
BUT IF THEY DO, HE IS CERTAINLY SMARTER THAN
MCCAIN SO HE CAN HANDLE HIMSELF AND THE COUNTRY!
DON'T YOU WANT A SMART PERSON FOR A CHANGE AS THE
PRESIDENT, NOT THESE MARGINAL GUYS, WHO AREN'T
LAWYERS, IN MCCAIN'S EXPERIENCE HE BARLEY MADE IT
OUT OF THE NAVAL ACADEMY, AND PALIN ATTENDED 6
DIFFERENT COLLEGES IN 6 YEARS!
WE DON'T NEED KEN AND BARBIE IN THE WHITE HOUSE,
WE NEED OBAMA AND BIDEN, LEADERS WHO WILL LEAD!

Mark Penn is correct when he states "the biggest loser in this year's election is the media".

No, the biggest losers are all the poor saps, like myself, who saved,
did without things we wanted and only bought the necessary,
paid off a mortgage,
sent kids to college,
invested in IRAs,
did not have any credit card debt,
were looking forward to retirement in 15 years and yet,
our "elected representatives" approved an outrageous "buy out."
Where does the buck always stop?
Not to those in Washington.
