ST. PAUL, MN.--First Lady Laura Bush and Cindy McCain just addressed the opening of an abbreviated first GOP convention session, cut short as Hurricane Gustav and associated storms hits the gulf states. McCain wore a gorgeous outfit.
The session was focused on getting procedural work done--and raising money for hurricane victims. Websites of relief agencies for Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida and Alabama were featured in the hall.
Though the session was supposed to be striped of politics--Bush slipped once when praising the work of governors of the impacted gulf states--noting they were all Republican.

Who writes this stuff? Don't you mean "stripped" of politics, not "striped"- although many Republicans probably qualify to wear stripes and live behind locked doors! And WHER did Cindy McCain find that FABULOUS gold outfit- I want it!!!!!

I read that Cindy's outfit is the color of her favorite pills. Is that true? Of course, if I was married to Loverboy McCain, who just chose a former beauty queen for VP, and can't seem to take his eyes off her behind, I would be popping them also. It dulls the pain.

Mrs. McCain, on the other hand, looks like, as the English expression says,"mutton dressed as lamb". She looks like the cheerleader who never grew up. Good grief!
Cindy and Laura exude class and style. Yet, their substance over style is natural.

UM, to the woman asking about where she can buy Cindy McCain's dress.....the outfit she is wearing is estimated to have cost $300,000. And they have the nerve to call Barack an elitist? Cindy McCain is the same person decrying sexism towards Palin while her party passes out "Hottest VP" buttons at the RNC. Good grief! Wake up people!
Wow! You guys are mean! Cindy McCain's dress is Oscar de la Renta and I think Vanity Fair said it's $6000.

Vanity Fair estimated Cindy McCain's outfit at $313,000. Between that and Caribou Barbie - Washington looks less and less like the rest of the country and more and more like a bad cartoon show.
