The scoop from Washington

Obama slips and introduces Biden as the next president (but corrects himself); McCain team then calls Biden "new mentor."

"Barack Obama sounded as though he turned over the top spot on the ticket today to his new mentor, when he introduced Joe Biden as the next president. The reality is that nothing has changed since Joe Biden first made his assessment that Barack Obama is not ready to lead. He wasn't ready then and he isn't ready now." -- Ben Porritt, McCain Spokesman

Barack Obama: "So let me introduce to you the next President--the next Vice President of United States of America, Joe Biden!" (Barack Obama, Remarks, Springfield, IL, 8/23/08)

An excellent and wonderful choice, indeed.

ok, so he mispoke big friken deal!!

If verbal slips are criteria for one's ability to lead, I'm afraid Mr. McCain trumps the field.

As usual obama was talking out of both sides of his mouth. A sad day in our history when two of Ted Kennedys cronies running on the same ticket. Why don't we just have Teddy run.

YEA YEA YEA, YOU CAN LAUGH AND JOKE, BUT AFTER
BIDEN DEBATES WHOMEVER MCCAIN CHOOSES, AND CHEWS
HIM OR HER UP LIKE PAC MAN YOU WON'T BE LAUGHING!
BIDEN KNOWS MORE THAN MCCAIN AND HE SURELY KNOWS
MORE THAN CONVICT KARL ROVE!
THE GOP IS IN HOT WATER AND THEY CAN'T GET OUT OF
THE HOT TUB!
