The scoop from Washington

Does Clinton want her name placed in nomination at the convention? Obama, Clinton teams joint statement.

A decision has still not been made whether Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's name will be placed in nomination at the Democratic convention.

The primary ended close, and a lot of Clinton supporters want her acknowledged in a very special way in Denver. Clinton campaign chief of staff Maggie Williams and Clinton are among those involved in hammering out with Obama's team Clinton's role--and the right "healing moment.'' It could be a keynote speech, placing Clinton's name in nomination and a roll call. At issue, I'm told, is "how we respect the voices of Hillary Clinton supporters and her role at the convention."

As chatter increases--and as Clinton plans an internet chat Thursday, this Joint Statement from the Clinton and Obama press offices was issued late Wednesday.

"We are working together to make sure the fall campaign and the convention are a success. At the Democratic Convention, we will ensure that the voices of everyone who participated in this historic process are respected and our party will be fully unified heading into the November election."

your are not hearing us!. We will vote for Hillary Clinton as President (write-in) or VP...... It is up to you Mr. Uniter! Why in heavens name would you not pick the best person to help you get your programs and solutions for America launched?

Even if only as a sign of 'respect' or a 'healing moment', if Hillary's name is placed in nomination, I'd have Obama Guards all over the ballon guy.

"Listen Stanley, you've got a lot of responsibility here and if you want your kid to get a union job and, of course, continue all the benefits you presently enjoy, here's what you gotta do. When the nominating starts and you hear Hillary's name, you pull the ballon switch. Look at me Stanley! Do you understand? We're going to pull the switch on Obama. CHANGE BABY, that's what it's all about."

Democratic unity is the most important issue at hand.

Hillary was very upset with Bill for trending to the center. She had a lot of arguments ROWS about it. (Remember reading about that?)
She's more lefty than Obama. At this point, I kinda hope she does throw down at the convention. She'd get the indy vote and the disaffected repug vote and the women vote and smart af am vote too.
I have HAD it with Obama's concessions on 'clean coal' and the war and FISA spying on YOU AND ME and whatnot.
He needs to remember who got him here---LIBERALS.
And I think Hillary gets that more than he does. Only she doesn't have the 'liberal cache' he does/did.?

No, Leslie. WINNING against McCain is the most important issue at hand. Obama's support for coal gassfication, nukes, expanding the war after the phantom Osama (he's dead, kids) and other non-lefty things are costing him his base.

HILLARY CLINTON WILL BE WELL RESPECTED AT THE
CONVENTION!
THE DEMOCRATS WILL PUT ON A GREAT CONVENTION,
GOD HELP THE GOP, WHAT A BORE THIS ONE WILL BE!

Obama 2008...United We Stand, Divided We Fall!

The OLD BOYS CLUB of the Democratic Party shook down the banking industry and funneled the money to Barack Obama to deny the nomination to Hillary Clinton in the belief that they can control Obama. He most likely is unaware of their actions. THE OLD BOYS CLUB does not want a woman in the White House who they do not control.
