The scoop from Washington

Obama celebrity slaps McCain in new spot.

People aren't blind - they know who the real "celebrity" candidate is. McCain will probably release a 3AM ad that focuses on Obama's response to the Russia/Georgia conflict. Obama really mangled that one. Instead of focusing on the conflict, his campaign lashed out at a McCain campaign staffer?

Excellent! McCain, projections of self onto his opponent boomeranging. McCain's Rovian campaign crew meeting their match; watch them squirm as they turn up the intensity only to have it rained back upon them. The Democrats have broken the Rovian code!

It would have been a more effective ad if it hadn't taken three weeks to come out -- the word "celebrity" has been so expropriated by McKeating and his Karl-Rove army by now that the ad looks like a knock-off.
