WASHINGTON--The Obama campaign can't control leaks coming out about his upcoming international trip from foreign capitals. The latest, according to an Agence France Presse report is that presumptive Democratic nominee Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) will meet with French President Nicolas Sarkozy on July 25. The Monday Der Spiegel online reports that Obama will be in Berlin on July 24 but German officials "with Angela Merkel's Chancellery are reserved about the prospects of a speech at the famous Brandenburg Gate."

"The Brandenburg Gate is the most famous and history-rich site in Germany," the Chancellery source said. In the past, the location has only been used on very special occasions for political speeches by world leaders. And it has been reserved for use only by elected American presidents, not candidates. The decision on whether the Democrat can speak at the location ultimately lies with the Berlin state government," Der Spiegel reported.

As noted in earlier blog, the Israeli press is reporting that Obama will be in Israel on July 22 or 23. And as reported in another previous blog, German sources and outlets say Obama is mulling a speech in front of the famous Brandenburg Gate during the last two weeks of July. Obama is also visiting Jordan and England on the swing. He will also be traveling Iraq and Afghanistan.

PRESIDENT TO BE OBAMA IS GOING TO BE A BUSY MAN, BUT THAT'S WHAT
WE NEED IN THE WHITE HOUSE, SOMEONE WHO WILL BE BUSY, NOT ONE WHO
TAKES A ZILLION VACATIONS, LIKE YOU KNOW WHO!

Republicans hate this and will never bring themselves to see this, but Obama has the potential to be a truly great man, a great leader around the world and a healer. Some may think he is a joke, a liar, a flip flopper or even a racist. If any of this is true it just makes him the same as we all are. No one ever said he was a messiah. However, his ability to inspire and calm the waters of the world are just what we need right now. Forget about tax cuts, abortion, guns, all that stuff. When you get a guy that makes you believe you can, you vote for him.

Bradenburg Gate is reserved for elected world leaders, not candidates...but Obama is the elected leader of the Obamanation...he even has a seal for Obamanation, how dare the Germans deny the chance of the leader of the great Obamanation to give a speech there...November election, who cares...the Obamanites have voted and Barack is their leader, so it is really petty for the Germans to just say no...heck, Reagan's tear down this wall speech at Bradenburg was not even in the same league as the great orator from Obamanation can make.

Phil Smith Jr., are you aware Bill Clinton took more vacations which covered far more miles than any other president, and I bet you never said a word. Including golfing at 3 country clubs which EXCLUDED women and minorities. Thats ok, NOW, Jesse, everybody else didn't say anything, either.

>"When you get a guy that makes you believe you can, you vote for him."

So Rabbs, how come when he ran against a yahoo like Bobby Rush for the 1st District Congressional seat, none of you guys voted for him?

Germans aren't fools. They are wise to be cautious. Obama upholds the death penalty! Absolutely barbaric. That doesn't sit well with Germans and neither does his carnivalesque Nomination Show. Most Germans recognize propaganda when they see it.
