Pool report on Obama's Independence Day film shoot and chat pooler Jonathan Weisman of the Washington Post had with "Inconvenient Truth" director Davis Guggenheim......

Pool report

Mystery Pool Report

After your poolers pulled away from Montana Technical College, home of the
Diggers, at around 5:20, the bus made its way up toward old, historic Butte
and pulled up to the Clark Chateau Museum, a mansion from Butte’s glory
days.

The pool was told repeatedly that Sen. Obama was merely doing a video shoot
for the campaign’s new media department, a routine operation. But Aliesh,
hired by Essence to do makeup, tipped your pool off that Obama was
accompanied by a famous film maker, as part of a film shoot for the
Democratic National Committee and the convention. Obama entered the mansion
at 5:45. He re-emerged at 6:43, with a stylish film maker in tow and a crew
carrying a film camera, NOT the small digital cameras.

Jen Psaki still maintains nothing is abnormal, but the filmmaker is Davis
Guggenheim, the Academy Award-winning director of An Inconvenient Truth.
His father, four-time Academy Award winner Charles Guggenheim, chronicled
John F. Kennedy. Credit Kim Chipman from Bloomberg with her brilliant
Googling prowess.

Davis Guggenheim spoke briefly to your pooler before realizing he shouldn’t
be. He then said he was merely traveling with his son in Montana and doing
some interviews. He promised to speak more after he consulted with the
campaign. More TK.

They should label the new video, 'Obama's Convenient Truth'. Truth as to how a man of hope and change, is now the man of same as usual, and the change is depended on how the political wind blows. Obama's adjusted principals are beginning to pile up: NAFTA, campaign finance reform, warrantless wiretaps, flag pins, gun control, and now Iraq war. He will use his trip to Iraq to acknowledge the remarkable improvements on the ground and to abandon his primary season commitment to a fixed 16-months timetable for removal of all combat troops. The shift has already begun. The flip is almost complete. Of course once he gets there he will have to figure out what he real believes. The conventional liberal/populist stuff he campaigned on during the primaries? Or the reversal he is so artfully offering up now? Do we really know Obama? Does he?

STOP CRYING, YOU DIDN'T CRY WHEN BUSH AND CHENEY DIDN'T ACCOMPLISH
THE SO-CALLED MISSION!
VOTE FOR OBAMA SO HE CAN MAKE YOU STOP CRYING SO MUCH!
MCCAIN DOESN'T HAVE A CLUE, AND YOU WANT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT OBAMA,
GROW UP AND GET YOURSELF TOGETHER, BARACK OBAMA IS GOING TO BE
THE NEXT PRESIDENT!
