The scoop from Washington

Obama tells AIPAC: "I will do everything in my power to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Everything in my power. Everything."

WASHINGTON--Presumptive Democratic nominee Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) is speaking now to AIPAC--the American Israel Public Affairs Committee conference. His speech is puncuated with applause and standing ovations. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y) speaks next. GOP rival Sen. John McCain (R-Az.) spoke earlier.

"We will also use all elements of American power to pressure Iran. I will do everything in my power to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Everything in my power. Everything," Obama said, departing from his prepared text to add the two everythings for emphasis.

sure sounds just like 'we will obliterate them' to me.
the obama supporters need to realize--obama will have to go much further right much faster than the first half ofhill and bill did.\sure wish it coulda been hillary 08 and 12 and obama 16 and 20.

Obama might be Israel best friend and even a better friend than Bush or John Hagee. If he is such a great friend of Israel, why is he against the Iraq war? Doesn't he know that according to Bush adviser and 911 commission member, Phillip Zelikow "Iraq war was launched to protect Israel." Obama should be pro-Iraq war than against the war.

He can go as far right as he wants. I am afraid Republicans have trouble ingesting the Democratic Kool-Aid. Most, but not all, will see it as nothing but centrist posturing to get votes. This guy is an elitist Socialist.
