Obama Campaign Announces State Directors For Key States
Chicago , IL —Senator Barack Obama’s presidential campaign today announced state directors in Alaska, Iowa, Montana, New Mexico and Oregon gearing up for the general election fight in critical states, including some traditionally Republican strongholds.
Jackie Norris, Senior Advisor to Obama during the Iowa Caucuses will serve as the Iowa State Director. Mike Dorsey, who served as Obama’s Midwest Political Director in the fall and state director in Missouri, is heading to Montana. Adrian Saenz, the state director for Texas primary and caucuses, will lead the New Mexico campaign. Kat Pustay, an Alaska native who served as state director for the caucuses, has returned to Anchorage. Rob Hill, who directed the Oregon primary, will be staying in Portland.
“The network of volunteers and grassroots energy built up during the historic primary season has given us an enormous and unprecedented opportunity in the general election,” said campaign manager David Plouffe. “The list of competitive states is longer than ever before. We plan to wage aggressive campaigns in these traditionally ‘red states’ states and compete for every vote.”
