Tennessee GOP goes after Michelle Obama. Obama campaign responds, "shameful" attack.

OBAMA CAMPAIGN RESPONSE
"This is a shameful attempt to attack a woman who has repeatedly said she wouldn't be here without the opportunities and blessings of this nation. The Republican Party's pathetic attempts to use the same smear tactics to win elections have failed in Mississippi, failed in Louisiana and will fail in November because the American people are looking for a positive vision of real change. And if the Tennessee Republican Party has a problem with Senator Obama, maybe next time they'll have the courage to address him directly instead of attacking his family."

This is an example of a party loosing it's "bearings" instead of focusing on real issues they prefer to fight like school children.
Na Na Na Na sticking out their toungues and posturing; I am more American then you and I can prove it. Pure nonsense, in the end will not count when I vote in November.

WHEN YOU'RE RUNNING FOR GEORGE BUSH'S THIRD TERM, WHAT DO YOU
EXPECT, IT'S GOING TO GET REAL UGLY IN A MINUTE, AND GOD DOESN'T
LIKE UGLY!
WHEN YOU ATTACK THE FUTURE PRESIDENT'S WIFE, THAT'S DIRTY POLITICS!
THE GOP IS GETTING LIKE FOX NEWS AND HANNITY, SO LOW YOU CAN PLAY
HANDBALL ON THE CURB OF THE STREET!
I SAY LET'S DEBATE MCCAIN AND GOBBLE HIM LIKE PAC-MAN!
HE CAN'T HANDLE BARACK INTELLECTUALLY, HIS ELEVATOR DOESN'T GO
ALL THE WAY UP!

Hillary and her campaign team of disasters choose to take the same route, smears and personal attacks - the Majority of Voters just don't like it! - carry on McCain and GOP!!!!!

WELL, DUH--of course it's a cheap shot.
Did the Obama campaign FORGET there would be REPUBLICANS to run against at the end of the chute?
Perhaps this is why people who LIKE the Obamas wanted them to wait 8 more years before doing this--and we said so after the early campaign perform. (Hint---no heads have rolled at Obama HQ--unlike Hillay's HQ).
The Obamas faux paus will DIE DOWN if they're veeps for Hillary--they'll weather what needs to be WEATHERED as veeps.
Please oh Please we don't want the Republicans to say in, do we?

Michelle Obama's remarks have been unpatriotic and eletist to say the least...If you have read her thesis you will clearly see where her head is...{ not in the White House}. That's for sure........Why hasn't she been vetted?? Oh. That's Wright...Neither has Barack Obama....Amazing how McCain's wife gets dragged in the dirt regularly and so does HRC...Why can't the media be fair???.One wonders..........HRC 08'...

Michelle, you best get the bomb shelter stocked with provisions that will serve you and the family for the rest of your's and Obamas political career.

The salvos are just starting to come in. You of course, and the Senator have provided the need to closely exam how you live your lives through your public utterances and your allegiance to Rev. Wright

Welcome, to the World of real BIG time politics. Not that cozy Village that elected your husband to the Senate.

I recently read Christopher Hitchens' article in the Sun Times regarding Michelle Obama's thesis when she attended Princeton.

The thesis is titled "Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community" and can be located at Politico.com. This thesis praises Stokley Carmichael and Louis Farrakhan and leads me to believe that Michelle Obama espouses the beliefs of the Reverand Wright.

It is very troubling.

I don't appear to see a lot of african american people in this "ad" - could it be that, um, uh, perhaps the "black" American experience could be a tad different than the "white" experience? Just wonderin'???? (duh)

Well, I do not know exactly how many thesis of this nature Christopher Hitchens has read--but there's nothing alarming in that thesis that I saw.
You have to situate what was written with the TIME it was written. It's like making fun of my mother for wearing a cigarette dress in 1967.
Get over it already.
Having said that---I am very happy Sen. Obama called for more civility toward Sen. Clinton's supporters--I think the two of them are our only winning ticket come the Fall--in whatever order they work out.

Only when one is so sure they have nothing to say that will advance their own agenda, do they stoop to the sort of tactics the Republicans to which Tennessee Republicans have stooped. I love it when the Obama Campaign returns comments so quickly and so reasonably. I am a moderate Republican and the Republican party has simply gotten so rotten, it has left m. Now as a result, I am a BIG Obama supporter. I expect to work, to give, and to help whichever way I can to get Obama elected. This Bush 42 crowd has totally ruined our Republican Brand and it will take years to recover, if in fact that is even possible. Mostly, us moderates are so aware of the swift boating in the party so that we are leaving in droves. Barak offers us a great place to hang our hats since McCain has left his straight talk express and has no moral rudder left. He says whatever, just to suck it up to the right wing Bushies of the party. Those of us who are leaving intend to make comments about any nasty campaign attack that comes out of the Republicans and we will identify it for what is is, hateful and unAmerican.

The thesis is troubling.

Then we have the comments about being "proud to be an American for the first time".

Then we have the Reverend Wright speaking and her sitting in the pews of the church and the weekly bulletin espousing hatred, which she probably read.

The media should get to the bottom of her beliefs.

YOU NEED TO STOP WATCHING FOX NEWS, THEY HAVE BRAINWASHED YOU!
REV. WRIGHT PREACHED FOR 41 YEARS, AND THEY FOUND 5 SERMONS THEY
DIDN'T LIKE, AND NOW THEY HAVE YOU GRASPING AT STRAWS, GROW UP
AND DON'T FALL FOR FEAR-MONGERING TECHNIQUES, SEAN HANNITY IS
TO SCARED TO COME TO CHICAGO TO TRINITY CHURCH SO HE GIVES OUT
THIS FALSE RHETORIC OVER THE AIRWAVES, DON'T FALL FOR THIS, STAND
UP AND BE A HUMAN BEING!
BARACK OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT BEFORE WE'RE ALL ON FOODSTAMPS!

Michelle Obabma is a bitter, angry woman with a HUGE chip on her million dollar shoulders. I'm so sick of hearing her say that poor black folk can't get anywhere without being knocked down...GOOD GOD! Look where she is standing. Reverend Wright is moving into a 1.5 million dollar home, the church is good for 10 million and I'm about to start wishing I'd been born black. GIVE ME A BREAK! And vote Republican or we'll be listening that same "poor me" message for the next four years!!!

People of Tennessee: Look at your economy, look at your healthcare! Look at what the GOP Offers!! Hate and Fear Mongering...Vote in your self interest and vote for whoever the Democratic candidate may be!!
